Past Present and Future
Banstock Bullmastiffs -- the Past

BIS BISS Ch. Huck's Last Hurrah ROM of Bandog was the first multiple best in show Bullmastiff.   Freddy won the ABA National Specialty and was a multiple group winner  and a top-producing sire.  Freddy made his introduction into the working group when it still included competitive herding dogs in the line-up.  Fred had a gorgeous head for his day as shown on the home page ... a head which would be lovely even by today's standards.

BIS BISS Ch. Bandog's Crawdaddy Gumbo ROM is the top-winning bullmastiff in the history of the breed.  Waldo was the #2 dog all breeds in 1985 and 1986.  Waldo is one of only four Bullmastiffs to place in the group at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club show and he won the ABA National specialty four times, the last time as a veteran dog.  Both of these dogs were co-bred by Helene Nietsch and Louise Sanders and owned by Wayne and Jean Boyd of the famous Rivergrove Pyrenees Kennels.

BIS BISS Ch. Avonlea Storybook Goodfella ROM was the #1 Bullmastiff in 1998 and was a multiple specialty, group and best in show winner and top-producing sire.  He won the ABA national specialty and was best of breed at the Westminister Kennel Club show.  Sam was owned by Deb Gannett and co-bred by Karen Skiba and Helene Nietsch.  Sam probably set the type for future generations of Banstock and Highpoint Bullmastiffs.

BIS BISS Ch. Banstock Captain Jack ROM OFA, owned by Katie and Gary Zigmond and bred by Helene & Julia Nietsch and Chris Lezotte and Alan Kalter of Happylegs Bullmastiffs was the #2 Bullmastiff in 2002, a multiple group winner, specialty and best in show winner and now top-producing sire.  With his incredible movement and outstanding temperament referred to by many as "Jackattitude," Jack commanded the Bullmastiff ring.

BISS Ch. Banstock Bruno of the Northeast ROM OFA is 2007 Top-Producing Sire.  Bruno is a multiple specialty and group winner and was in the top 5 breed and all-breed in both 2005 and 2006 campaigned by Mike & Michele McGovern and Pat Jasinski.  A highly regarded stud dog with all of his health clearances and outstanding temperament, Bruno has already made his mark in the stud book as sire of group winners, specialty winners and dozens of champions to his credit.  Bruno was bred by Helene & Julia Nietsch and Chris Lezotte and Alan Kalter and has truly set the type and influenced many pedigrees with his correct head, compact and substantial body and strong movement.
